'...an idea...'

The final version of [link] made up all pretty. A character of mine originally from a story that I started but never finished, like most of my stories. He was then going to be an RP character, but I settled on someone a bit more bitter and sarcastic because that kind of personality was needed instead. Anyway:

Nickname: Nate or Tibbs
Age: 19

Weight: 149 lbs
Personality: Quick-thinking, bright, easygoing, innovative. A frequent employer of sarcasm, although he means it in the best possible way. Has a wide-ranging sense of humor and gets a laugh out of almost everything. Gets along well with 'most everyone. Trustworthy, honest and open, although his honesty is occasionally taken as rudeness or bluntness. Quick to come to the aid or defense of those weaker than himself
Likes: Books, dogs, music (pop-punk and alternative), feathers, walking around in bare feet, watching soccer, museums, the occasional stuffed animal (specifically tigers) the colors blue, gray and yellow, writing letters, movies with happy endings, card games, hats, pins, goggles, inspirational quotes, sharpening pencils (although he prefers to write in pen), and martial arts (specifically studying Hapkido).
Dislikes: Cats, messy rooms, humidity, overdue library fines, glue sticks, writing in pencil, rude people and bullies, the colors orange, red and purple, hamsters, doctors, people who drive slower than the speed limit, heavy metal music, poetry, cinnamon-flavored gum, haircuts formal clothing, whistling, sunglasses, board games, and junk mail

History: The third child of four, Nathan's life was fairly normal until his freshman year of high school. Until that time, he played with his friends, fought with his siblings, read incessantly and wanted to be a librarian when he grew up. But when he reached what would have been his first day of high school, he was approached by his father and two other government officials and offered a job.
Since then, Nathan has been employed by the state of New Hampshire as a Watcher - kind of like the Buffy term, but for the vampires instead of the ones who slay them. During the day, he watches out for the vampire he is assigned to (in his case, a bad-tempered, 388-year-old menace named Radko who would just as soon send his Watcher home in several shoe boxes as he would allow them to protect him). He is in charge of making sure that the vampire's house is clean and neat, running errands, and generally letting no one on the outside know that his charge is a vampire. Oh yeah, and help watch Radko's back as he and other government-employed vampires hunt down rogue vampires who are in danger of harming the public and giving away their presence. And he does this all while avoiding the bad temper of the vampire.
It's a job he enjoys and performs brilliantly, as even Radko will grudgingly admit (if you can get him to say it before he rips your arm off for bothering him.)


So yep, that's Nate, the kind of guy who can walk right up to a six-foot muscle-bound vampire and say, "Fine, then. You can be the big, scary creature who stalks the night, alright? I'll be the substantially smaller, not-so-scary-but-still-totally-kickass underling of the creature who stalks the night. Intimidating, innit?"
